Who do you want to drive the school bus? That’s the question I ask myself regarding the U.S. presidential race. Do I want a driver with road rage to take my kids to school? Or a seasoned driver with a decent record and a willingness to transport all of our children?

When we voters get emotional about politics, let’s please remember that anger is not a platform that sustains us.

These rallies can be exciting, but the next morning we still want our cups of coffee. And three meals a day. And school buses to safely take our kids to the places where they can get an education and craft their futures.

We’re all in this together.
