Students from Massabesic Middle School are being sent home from school Monday morning because of water issues.

Regional School Unit 57 Superintendent John Davis said the middle school students were moved to the high school while officials tried to better understand the problem at the middle school building on Old Alfred Road. Parents were notified around 8:30 a.m. that middle school students would be dismissed starting at 9:30 a.m.

Students who don’t ride the bus will be supervised at the high school until they can be picked up by parents.

RSU 57 serves students from Waterboro, Alfred, Limerick, Lyman, Newfield and Shapleigh.
