Mark your calendars. On March 9, Greg Kesich announces that “the (Democratic) party is … getting ready to nominate Hillary Clinton.” Well, we’re certainly all glad that’s over. Now we can all sit back and enjoy your and the media’s coverage of Donald Trump, all day all the time.

Defeatists are certain of the future because it takes a special brain to follow their logic.

Their logic is disciplined, steely-eyed and, above all, mature, which is why Bernie Sanders followers have to have everything explained to them. Because they’re so young. And full of hope.

It contaminates their logic.

They run around shouting “Yes we can” when someone tells them they can’t beat Hillary Clinton. And their candidate starts at 3 or 4 percent in the polls, and then starts winning, and she keeps telling him to go away so she can focus on the Republicans, but he just won’t.

Sorry. Got confused. That was ’08.

And I didn’t think then she was qualified just because she was first lady all those years and dumped on the women her husband had affairs with to keep open her own road to power, for which she was rewarded with a safe Senate seat, where she voted with Republicans on all the critical votes.

And I don’t think she’s more qualified now, when she’s fleshed out her resume by bungling her race for the presidency, for which she was rewarded with secretary of state, where she left bodies and chaos in the one country she played a leadership role in, and exposed herself and her staff to indictment for violating federal law because of her own sloppiness, carelessness and arrogance or worse in matters of national security.

The good news? The youth of this nation continue to be blinded by hope and the quest for a future they can believe in.

Bernie Sanders? He’s alive and well. And not likely to go anywhere any time soon.
