NEW YORK — The NFL selected Twitter to stream its Thursday night games.

When the league negotiated its latest deal for the Thursday package, it decided to sell the streaming rights separately. This past season it partnered with Yahoo to stream a game from London that took place on a Sunday morning in the U.S.

Only the 10 Thursday night games on CBS and NBC will be streamed through Twitter under a one-year agreement, the NFL announced Tuesday. They will be free worldwide on all devices through the Twitter platform. Viewers won’t need to be registered Twitter users.

The NFL Network-only Thursday games aren’t in the deal.

Ekpre-Olomu was projected to be a first-round draft pick before he hurt his left knee in his senior season with Oregon. He was instead taken in the seventh round by Cleveland a year ago and spent 2015 rehabilitating.

BILLS: Buffalo continued restocking its defensive backfield by signing free-agent cornerback Sterling Moore.

Moore is a fifth-year player, who had an interception and forced three fumbles in nine starts in 16 games with Tampa Bay last season. He’s listed at 5-foot-10 and 202 pounds, and broke into the NFL in 2011 as an undrafted free agent with New England. He also played two-plus seasons in Dallas.

VIKINGS: Defensive tackle Tom Johnson is suing Minneapolis and two of its police officers, accusing them of violating his civil rights by using a chemical spray and stun gun on him during a 2014 incident at a downtown nightclub.

GIANTS: The team finally turned its attention to offensive by signing fullback Will Johnson, and linemen Ryan Seymour and Dillon Farrell.

The Giants made headlines early in free agency by signing defensive end Olivier Vernon, cornerback Janoris Jenkins and tackle Damon “Snacks” Richardson.
