NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. — Brandon Martins drove in three runs in the first game and Sam Stauble had three RBI in Game 2 as the University of Southern Maine swept a Little East Conference baseball doubleheader Saturday against UMass-Dartmouth, 8-6 and 10-3.

Martins was 3 for 3 in Game 1, including an RBI single in the sixth and a two-run single in the seventh that gave USM (11-5, 2-0 Little East) an 8-1 lead. Shyler Scates (5-0) got the win, allowing four earned runs in seven innings, and Jake Dexter worked a perfect ninth for the save.

Stauble went 4 for 5 in the second game after getting two hits in the opener. Starting pitcher Dalton Rice (3-0) allowed one hit and one run, and struck out eight in five innings.

The Corsairs dropped to 7-9 overall, 0-2 in the conference.

MAINE SWEEPS NYIT: Colin Ridley hit a grand slam in the opener and finished the day with seven RBI as the Black Bears (7-22) snapped a 10-game losing streak with a pair of wins over New York Tech (13-17), 8-5 and 4-1, in Orono.

Danny Casals went 4 for 4 with two runs scored in the first game. Justin Courtney (2-3) allowed four earned run in six innings to record the win, and Nick Silva struck out five in three hitless innings for his first career save.

Logan Fullmer went the distance on the mound in Game 2, allowing one run on four hits and a walk while striking out 11. Casals gave the Black Bears a 2-1 lead with an RBI single in the second inning, and Ridley broke it open with a two-run single in the sixth.

ST. JOSEPH’S, SUFFOLK SPLIT: Nic Lops hit a two-run homer and Dennis Meehan belted a grand slam to lead St. Joseph’s (9-8, 1-1 GNAC) to a 10-0 win over Suffolk (15-5, 1-1) in the second game of a doubleheader in East Boston, Massachusetts.

Grayson Jennings (four innings) and Riley Cox combined on the Game 2 shutout.

St. Joseph’s lost 6-3 in the opener despite two hits and three RBI from Lops.

BATES SWEEPS BOWDOIN: Sam Warren drove in eight runs as Bates (9-12, 2-3 NESCAC) swept a doubleheader against Bowdoin (10-8, 2-4) in Lewiston.

Warren’s three-run homer highlighted a five-run eighth-inning rally in Game 2 as the Bobcats pulled out a 9-5 win.

Warren had three RBI in the opener, and Brendan Fox contributed four hits, two RBI and two runs scored for Bates in a 6-3 win.

Bowdoin’s Luke Cappellano drove in three runs in each game. Peter Cimini hit a solo home run in Game 2.

TRINITY SWEEPS COLBY: Scott Cullinan and Nick Pezzella homered to lead the Bantams (9-11, 4-2 NESCAC) to a 7-0 win over the Mules (5-12, 1-2) in the opener of a doubleheader at Waterville.

In Game 2, Tommy Forese hit a solo homer in the third inning to give the Mules a 2-0 lead before the Bantams rallied for a 4-2 victory.

SOFTBALL

UMAINE SWEEPS UMASS-LOWELL: Erin Bogdanovich pitched a four-hitter in the opener and Annie Kennedy followed with a two-hitter for the Black Bears (14-13, 3-1 America East) in a pair of wins over the visiting River Hawks (5-28, 0-8), 6-0 and 13-0 at Orono.

Janelle Bouchard finished the day with four hits, including a double, a home run and three RBI.

Kristen Niland drove in five runs in the second game.

UNE SWEEPS ENDICOTT: Kelly Murphy hit a two-run single in the seventh inning to give the Nor’easters (14-4, 5-1 Commonwealth Coast) a 5-4 win in Game 1, and Lauren Jones drove in three runs in the second game as UNE completed a sweep with a 6-5 win over the Seagulls (9-7, 2-2) in Biddeford.

Murphy’s winning hit came with the bases loaded after an intentional walk. She drove home Caroline Schoenbucher and Sydney Helmbrecht.

UNE erased a 4-0 deficit in the opener and a 3-0 deficit in Game 2. Jones tied Game 2 with an RBI single in the third inning, then drove in the tying and winning runs in the fourth inning with a two-run double after Endicott regained the lead in the top half of the inning.

ST. JOSEPH’S SWEEPS ANNA MARIA: Kelsey Gaddy broke a 9-9 tie with a home run in the seventh inning and the Monks (9-9, 4-2 GNAC) pulled away for a 12-9 win over the Amcats (2-17, 0-6) to complete a doubleheader sweep at Worcester, Massachusetts.

Kristal Smith gave up one earned run while striking out eight in five innings of relief to earn the win in Game 2.

In the opener, Smith hit a two-run homer and finished with three RBI as the Monks won 9-1 in five innings.

USM, WESTERN CONNECTICUT SPLIT: Mary Caron scored on an RBI single by Brooke Cross with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Southern Maine (14-4, 1-1 Little East) to a 4-3 win over the Colonials (10-12, 2-2) in the second game of a doubleheader in Gorham.

Courtney Davis had two hits and two RBI for the Huskies, who erased a 3-0 deficit with three runs in the fifth.

USM’s Sammi Good allowed only four hits in the opener, but Erin Weber’s home run in the second inning gave the Colonials a 1-0 victory.

BOWDOIN SWEEPS BATES: Katie Gately had three hits and drove in three runs to pace a 15-hit offense in Game 2 for the Polar Bears (12-7-1, 3-1 NESCAC) as they completed a doubleheader sweep with an 11-6 win over the Bobcats (0-16, 0-3) in Lewiston.

Emma Stevens hit a three-run homer in the opener, leading Bowdoin to a 6-3 win.

Claire McCarthy had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored in the second game. Jordan Gowdy also collected two hits and two RBI.

Bates got two RBI from Emma Schiller in the first game and two RBI from Maddie Inlow in the second game. Karen Lockhard contributed a solo home run in Game 2.

TUFTS SWEEPS COLBY: Raina Galbiati hit a three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning as the Jumbos (11-6, 4-0 NESCAC) scored five runs to rally for a 10-8 win over the Mules (5-10, 0-3) in the opener of a doubleheader at Waterville.

Robin Spofford had three hits and scored two runs for Colby, and Emily Schatz drove in two runs and scored once.

Tufts completed the sweep with a 14-5 victory.

MEN’S LACROSSE

ST. JOSEPH’S 15, ALBERTUS MAGNUS 13: Jake O’Brien scored all five of his goals in the first half and the Monks (5-5, 2-1 GNAC) used a 7-1 run in the second half to rally past the Falcons (3-5, 0-3) in Standish.

Luigi Grimaldi scored three straight goals during the second-half surge and added two assists. Matt Donnell and Joe O’Reilly each contributed two goals and two assists.

UNE 9, SALVE REGINA 8: Mitch Mullin, Dan Auger and Tom Luttrell each scored two goals, and the Nor’easters (8-5, 3-1 Commonwealth Coast) held off the Seahawks (9-5, 2-3) in Middletown, Rhode Island.

UMASS–DARTMOUTH 10, SOUTHERN MAINE 9: Nate Delgiudice scored three goals and Seth Wing added two for USM (5-4, 0-2 Little East), but the Corsairs (3-7, 1-1) turned back a fourth-quarter rally by the Huskies in Gorham.

BOWDOIN 9, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 5: Brett Kujala scored three goals to lead the Polar Bears (9-1, 6-1 NESCAC) over the Camels (6-5, 2-4) at New London, Connecticut.

Shawn Daly added a goal and four assists, Daniel Buckman had two goals, and Peter Mumford made 16 saves for Bowdoin.

MIDDLEBURY 15, BATES 12: Jack Allard had five goals and an assist for Bates (8-3, 4-3 NESCAC), but the Bobcats couldn’t overcome an early 4-0 deficit against the Panthers (7-4, 5-2) in Middlebury, Vermont.

Charlie Fay finished with three goals and an assist for the Bobcats.

AMHERST 12, COLBY 9: Kevin Seiler had three goals and two assists for the Mules (3-8, 0-6 NESCAC) in a loss to Amherst (9-2, 5-1 NESCAC) in Amherst, Massachusetts.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

UNE 8, SALVE REGINA 6: Jocelyn Davee broke a 6-6 tie with 8:39 remaining and Nicole Carvalho added a late goal to help the Nor’easters (7-4, 3-1 Commonwealth Coast) beat the Seahawks (3-7, 1-3) in Middletown, Rhode Island.

Davee led UNE with three goals, while Carvalho added two.

ST. JOSEPH’S 12, SIMMONS 5: Kelsey Dumond scored four goals, and Elyse Caiazzo added three goals and two assists for the Monks (9-2, 3-0 GNAC) in a win over the Sharks (5-5, 2-2) at Deering High School.

Kat Gadbois and Elizabeth Elcock chipped in with two goals apiece. Gadbois also collected two assists.

BOWDOIN 14, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 12: Emma Beecher scored four goals, and the Polar Bears (5-6, 1-6 NESCAC) got five straight goals late in the second half to rally past the Camels (5-6, 1-5) in Brunswick.

Lindsay Picard added three goals for Bowdoin.

MIDDLEBURY 12, BATES 5: Sydney Cowles had three goals and an assist for the Bobcats (10-2, 5-2 NESCAC) in a loss to the second-ranked Panthers (10-0, 6-0 NESCAC) in Lewiston.

UMASS-DARTMOUTH 20, SOUTHERN MAINE 15: Sarah Pelligrinelli had five goals and an assist for USM (1-6, 0-2 Little East), but the Corsairs (5-4, 1-1) used a 10-5 scoring advantage in the second half to pull away from the Huskies in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

Dartmouth broke away from a 12-12 tie with six straight goals.

Sam Campobasso added four goals for the Huskies, and Hannah LaSalle had two goals and two assists.

AMHERST 8, COLBY 4: Emilie Klein scored two goals and Lexie Perticone had three assists for Colby (8-2, 4-2 NESCAC) in a loss to Amherst (7-2, 4-2) in Waterville.
