Gas prices are still rising in parts of northern New England, but at a slower rate.

The price-tracking website GasBuddy.com says the price has gone up nearly a penny per gallon last week in New Hampshire, averaging $2.01 a gallon. It went up about the same in Maine, averaging $2.10 a gallon.

The price actually came down half a cent in Vermont, to $2.09 a gallon.

The national average is $2.04, which dropped 1.2 cents per gallon in the last week. The national average has increased 15.6 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 34.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
