Maine Coast Waldorf’s Eva Haag, right, and her crew, Scarborough’s Greta Morrisette, took first at Apprenticeshop’s recent invitational regatta, held April 9 in Rockland Harbor. Apprenticeshop is part of Rockland Community Sailing. Twenty high school sailors, comprising four teams, competed. Tough conditions roughed up the going, but Haag and Morrisette persevered and prevailed. The two represent SailMaine’s Southern Maine High School Sailing Team, “a comprehensive high school sailing program for any Portland-area student whose school does not have a sailing team,” according to a Maine Coast Waldorf press release.
