Cathy Breen has been a constant and enthusiastic supporter of the Land for Maine’s Future Program throughout the turmoil of the past two legislative sessions. We could always count on Cathy to find a path through the obstacles posed by the Governor. During the campaign to protect Knight’s Pond and Blueberry Hill in Cumberland and North Yarmouth, Cathy held a press conference to highlight LePage’s continuing obstruction on the project’s receiving its Land for Maine’s Future award. When the land trusts forged ahead with a stop gap solution, Cathy shared the citizens’ joy at the opening celebration for the new reserve.
Cathy Breen will continue to lead at a time when we truly need a Legislature that looks to the future. I hope residents will vote for this experienced Senator during the primaries.
