Maine Coast Waldorf School of Freeport will conduct its commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 11, in Community Hall on its campus at 57 Desert Road, beginning at 2 p.m.

Diplomas to the six graduating seniors will be presented by David Barham, chairman of the College of Teachers; Jeff O’Brien, faculty chairman of the high school; and Martha Eshoo, president of the board of trustees.

Elizabeth Mitchell will be the keynote speaker. Mitchell serves as the president and chief executive officer of the Portland-based Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement, working to improve both the quality and affordability of health care.

The 2016 Maine Coast Waldorf School graduating seniors:

Fiona Ahearne: The daughter of Lucy and Jim Ahearne of Freeport, Ahearne’s activities included Model UN, cross country, nordic skiing, ultimate frisbee, French, cello, orchestra, theater, chorus, art, Maine All-State Orchestra, Maine Acoustic Festival and sailing instructor. She studied abroad in France. Ahearne will attend Bowdoin College.

Phoebe Dolan: Daughter of Martha Eshoo and Keith Dolan of York, Dolan participated in violin, cross country, One Acts, French, orchestra, art, chorus, Waldorf blogging, works at White Pines Programs and theater. She studied abroad in France. Dolan will attend Brandeis University

Christopher Gordon: Son of Michelle and Peter Gordon of New Gloucester, Gordon’s activities included saxophone, bass, ultimate Frisbee, art, wind ensemble, theater, French and the voice of Maine Coast Waldorf High School on WCLZ. He studied abroad in France. Gordon will attend Suffolk University.

Sophia Ichizawa: Daughter of Masanori Ichizawa of Rowley, Mass., Ichizawa’s activities included Japanese, viola, orchestra, art, ultimate Frisbee, theater, chorus, dance and French. She studied abroad in Switzerland. Ichizawa will attend Ithaca College.

Zoe Konstantino: Daughter of Valerie and Steve Konstantino, she participated in circus arts, theater, hip hop crew, flying trapeze, ultimate Frisbee, art, competitive dance, French and Maine State Music Theater. Konstantino spent a semester abroad blogging. Konstantino will attend Hampshire College following a gap year.

Julia Ritger: Daughter of Suzie Peirson and Paul Ritger, her activities included French, Mandarin Chinese, flute, wind ensemble, ultimate Frisbee, chorus, theater, art and dance. Ritger studied abroad in France. Ritger will attend Dickinson College following a gap year.
