No injuries were reported when a hot-air balloon landed on a public road in Scarborough Thursday morning, police said.

The Scarborough Police Department posted photographs on its facebook page of the balloon landing on Horseshoe Drive, which is located off Black Point Road.

Scarborough Officer John Gill helped the occupants stabilize the passenger basket and get the balloon out of the roadway.

Details about who was in the balloon and what caused it to land were not available from Scarborough police Thursday night.

“I saw them flying low. Felt like they could have landed on the roof of my truck. Glad everyone is OK,” Kristen Packer Schuler wrote on Facebook.
