Portland police arrested a man known for creating distractions in Old Port businesses in order to steal cash, purses or other items that he can sell for cash, officials said Thursday.
Floyd Lee Sinclair was charged with five felony thefts and was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Police say they are warning local businesses about Sinclair and his methods because he has prior theft convictions.
