BATH — United Way of Mid Coast Maine is looking to establish funding partnerships with area nonprofit agencies geared toward helping others.

Agencies that haven’t received United Way funding before and “work to improve people’s lives in the core building blocks of education, financial stability, and health,” have until Nov. 1 to apply, the organization stated in a press release Aug. 4.

Funding would be for a two-year cycle, running from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2019.

Agencies must first be found to be eligible for funding. Once past that hurdle, agencies can apply next February to one of United Way’s four Community Solutions Councils for funding.

Organizations can contact John Washburn, director of finance and administration at United Way, at 443-9752 for a copy of the partnership agreement and eligibility application.
