SACO — Roland U. Beaulieu, 81, of Lyman, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at the Monarch Center in Saco.

He was born in Biddeford on Sept. 26, 1934, the son of Arthur and Argena Bedard Beaulieu. He was educated in Biddeford schools, and graduated from the former St. Louis High School with the Class of 1953.

Mr. Beaulieu served a tour of duty with the U.S. Army. On May 30, 1956, he married Suzanne R. Petrin in St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford. She died on April 16, 2013.

Roland worked for a few years with Edward’s Market at Five Points in Biddeford, and for 37 years as a meat cutter with Shaw’s Supermarket in Saco, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards and woodworking.

He is survived by: one daughter, Selina St. Amand and her husband Bob of Lyman; one brother, Armand Beaulieu of Saco; one grandson, Stephen St. Amand and his girlfriend Katy Morin of Lyman; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 10 a.m. to noon followed by a funeral service at noon Thursday, Aug. 25, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
