With recent events and the raging controversy surrounding this election, it is impossible to imagine that the congressman would not have a position. That he chooses not to share that opinion with the people of Maine suggests both cowardice and a slippery desire to avoid the consequences of a decision.

U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, U.S. Sen. Angus King and U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree have all made their positions clear. The people of Maine deserve no less from Mr. Poliquin.

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.” (Revelations 3:15-17).

The voters of the 2nd District should reject the lukewarm congressman Nov. 8.
