Some things in life are what they are. And some other things are meta. And a very few things are meta meta.

But, as Greg Kesich so eloquently explained in his Aug. 24 column (“Online detractors won’t mark the end of James Allen’s trail,” Page A7), the Mark Trail comic strip is simply meta meta meta.
