GORHAM — Olivia Mull led the offense with three second-half goals as Southern Maine beat Dean 8-1 in a women’s game Monday.

Jessica Preble and Ally Little each added two goals for the Huskies, who led 3-1 at halftime.

FIELD HOCKEY: Bowdoin scored three goals in a span of 4:13 in the first half as they beat Southern Maine 6-1 at Brunswick.

Mettler Growney scored three goals to lead the Polar Bears (7-1).

Lindsay Jackson scored an unassisted goal with 21:03 left for USM (5-7).

MEN’S SOCCER: Ely Spencer scored the winner on an assist by Ethan Ellsworth with 1:29 remaining in the second overtime as Bowdoin beat Thomas 2-1 at Brunswick.

Adam LaBrie scored for the Terriers 1:01 into the second half to break a scoreless tie, but Ellsworth scored an unassisted equalizer in the 56th minute for the Polar Bears.

Drew Martin had two saves for Thomas (5-3-1), while Stevie Van Siclen stopped five shots for Bowdoin (5-2-2).
