SANFORD — Ronald Thomas Paul, 56, of Sanford, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at his home.

He was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the son of John and Irene (Grant) Paul. He graduated from Biddeford High School, Class of 1978, and attended vocational school.

He married his wife, Pamela Emerson, on July 23, 2005. He was employed as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney for 27 years.

Ronald’s grandchildren were his life, and he loved spending as much time with them as he could.

He also enjoyed following the New England Patriots with his wife. His dog Angel, his coffee partner, was also a very important part of his life.

Other interests included four-wheeling, hiking (especially on the Appalachian Trail, his favorite place), hunting and building stuff. He was especially excited that he had been drawn for a doe permit this year.

He was preceded in death by his father, John B. Paul; and his daughter-in-law, Shannon Paul.
