Re: “Meet Arianna, the little girl who lived in Portland’s woods” (Sept. 25): Thank you to staff writer Randy Billings, staff photographer Brianna Soukop and the Maine Sunday Telegram – but most of all, thank you to Chrissy Chavez, Troy Jethro and Chrissy’s daughter Arianna for allowing us to read about you; for unabashedly welcoming strangers into your most private and undoubtedly painful moments.

I am sure I am speaking for many who read about you. You have taught us many lessons: Love is family, family is love. Together is stronger than apart. Openness leads to opportunity. Belief grows to reality. To be thankful, one must know emptiness. To judge by sight and not by evidence is dismissive.

I hope, with a little stability in your lives, you get a chance to reflect and realize all you have taught us in one brief shared period of time in your lives. I hope blessings find you soon and revisit often. Thank you.
