SACO — Irene F. Morin, 94, of New Hampshire, formerly of Saco, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at Merriman House in New Hampshire.

She was born in Saco on Aug. 10, 1922, a daughter of William and Josephine (Dion) Martel.

Irene was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children. Her hobbies included playing cards and bingo. Most of all, she loved wintering in Florida with her husband Ralph and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Morin was a parishioner of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church and Most Holy Trinity Church.

She was preceded in death by: Ralph, her husband of 74 years; her great-grandson Ian; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by: six children, Lee Morin, Lucille Paquette and husband Aurel, Nel Morin, Irene Martell and husband Terry, Ronald Morin and wife Sylvia, and Donald Morin and wife Debbie; 12 grandchildren, Nichelle, Steven, Brian, Nicole, Dewayne, Sherry Lynn, Ralph, Tammy, Bonnie, Dennis, Melanie and Brandie; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Most Holy Trinity Church, Saco. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco. To view Irene’s memorial page or leave an online condolence, please visit cotefuneralhome.com.
