Republican state Rep. Brian Hobart has served District 55 (Bowdoin, Bowdoinham and Richmond) fairly and well for the past two years; it is now time to re-elect him so he can continue to serve us.

Thomas Jefferson once said, “Action will delineate and define you.” And, in this election cycle, filled with derogatory rhetoric, it is refreshing to be able to focus on actions.

Here are some of the ways that Brian has served his constituents:

• Crossed party lines to support the Richmond Health Center.

• Voted against mining rules that threaten our environment.

• Supported all legislation to fight the war on drugs and support drug treatment.

• Supported veterans’ services (he’s a veteran).

• Supported increased school funding.

• Supported continued revenue sharing to towns and cities.

• Brian is direct and plain-spoken, and while that might not be a political asset, it is politically refreshing.

This Nov. 8, vote for Rep. Brian Hobart. His actions have earned re-election.
