I am wondering if those who want a recount on questions 1 and 2 are the same people who fought so hard against Question 5 because having to do a second round of counting to get a majority would cost too much and take too long, etc., etc.

Personally, I am tickled to pieces that Question 5 passed. It is about time, with the trend for three or even more candidates, that we have a system to elect the candidate with the broadest possible support.

Hopefully, it will help to decrease some of the divisiveness in our elections and encourage more participation. Perhaps we will actually be an example for the national elections and plant a seed of something different.
