A 91-year-old woman was hit by a car late Friday afternoon in Brewer, police said.
Louise Park of Brewer was crossing Eastern Avenue between Parkway North and Rinfret Drive around 5:30 p.m. Friday when she was hit by a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, according to a news release from the Brewer Police Department.
The car was driven by Lori Fidler, 56, of Brewer.
According to police, Park was in critical condition Friday night at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. An update on her condition was not available Saturday afternoon.
Police said they are still investigating the incident, but early indications were that neither speed nor alcohol was a factor in the crash.
