Historians will, one day, document that the then-Republican candidate for U.S. president, Donald Trump, sent an emissary to Moscow to discuss with Russian authorities the hacking of Democratic National Committee emails and the timely release of the material to the American public.
The real question is: Can President-elect Trump now ignore Russian President Vladimir Putin’s future demands and concessions when the threat of releasing information on those encounters raises serious impeachment issues?
