Hoorah, we got a raise in our Social Security benefits: 0.3 percent!
As if that were a joke, when I received my notice of a raise, it said that I would receive the same as I am getting now. I called Social Security and was informed that Medicare had gone up and that took my “raise.”
They tell us that the reason the increase was so low was that the price of oil and gas was down. How about the prices now?
