LYMAN — A Lyman driver whose license has six active suspensions was arrested Thursday for driving with two young children in the car.

Maine State Police Cpl.Doug Cropper spotted Ryan P. Desmond, 31, driving on Howitt Road about 1:40 p.m. that day. Cropper, according to a MSP statement, knew Desmond’s license was under suspension.

Desmond pulled into his driveway and was arrested and charged with operating after suspension and endangering the welfare of two children — police said a 9-month-old and a 2-year-old  were in the back seat.

The statement said Desmond’s license has been suspended since 2008 and has six active suspensions.
