HOLLIS — Maine State Police have re-opened an investigation into a robbery and assault with a tire iron that took place in October. They’re looking for information into the incident that took place in the parking lot at L’il Mart  on Plains Road Oct. 23.

Police have charged one man — Marcus Lefebvre, 28, of Waterboro — with robbery, but believe others were involved.

According to Cpl. James Macdonald, one of the victims reported several men surrounded their vehicle in the parking lot armed with metal pipes and tire irons that October night. The suspects allegedly struck a male victim in the arm with a tire iron, demanded cash and made off with an unknown amount.

The victims alleged Lefebvre was involved, police said in a statement, but otherwise refused to cooperate and the investigation stalled.

State police said due to additional incidents in the area, they recently interviewed the victims and one of them said two other men were allegedly involved.

Troopers are continuing the investigation and are looking for any information regarding the two unknown males involved in the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. Macdonald at 657-3030.

Macdonald said on Monday that Lefebvre was incarcerated at York County Jail, held in lieu of $2,500 cash bail on unspecified charges brought by York County Sheriff’s Office. In light of the Class A robbery charge, his bail was increased to $22,500, state police said.

Lefebvre has had other brushes with the law. He was indicted in September on a host of charges ranging from criminal threatening to stalking, terrorizing and more, stemming from an incident in Cornish July 3, where he was alleged to have threatened his former girlfriend and her new boyfriend with a .45-caliber handgun.

In a July news release, York County Sheriff Bill King said Lefebvre’s former girlfriend and the man were leaving a residence in Cornish when they found a vehicle blocking their driveway. When the man asked the driver of the vehicle to move it, Lefebvre allegedly a pointed a .45-caliber handgun at him and the woman. The disposition of those charges was not available at press time today.
