Gov. Paul LePage, during his weekly appearance on the “George Hale and Ric Tyler Show” on Bangor-based radio station WVOM, revealed Tuesday that his wife, first lady Ann LePage, recently had a bariatric surgical procedure for weight loss, shortly after he had similar surgery.
LePage announced last week he underwent the surgery to lose weight because he was at risk of developing diabetes.
He said that, so far, he has lost 53 pounds, and quipped, “There are 53 pounds less of me to hate.”
