CINCINNATI – Adam “Pacman” Jones of the Cincinnati Bengals apologized through his lawyers after Cincinnati police released video showing his raucous, often-vulgar reaction to his latest arrest.

Jones was arrested after an altercation at a downtown hotel the night after Cincinnati’s season ended with a 6-9-1 record. He was charged for the confrontation and for allegedly spitting on a nurse as he was processed at the county jail.

Cincinnati police released a video Monday showing Jones’ behavior in the back seat of a police car as he was taken to the jail. Jones asks what charges he’s facing and when he’s told two misdemeanors, he unleashes a stream of profanity toward the police officers.

At one point, Jones tells one: “I hope you die tomorrow.”

The Nielsen company said 47.95 million people watched New England beat Pittsburgh in the AFC final. Earlier in the day, Atlanta’s victory over Green Bay in the NFC game was seen by 46.28 million viewers.

Neither game was particularly competitive; the Falcons had a 24-0 lead at halftime. Still, that game’s audience was bigger than last year’s NFC game (45.7 million).

The Patriots and Steelers have more Super Bowl appearances than any other AFC teams. But with New England dominating, the game had a smaller audience than the 2016 game between New England and Denver, which drew 53.3 million viewers, Nielsen said.
