WATERVILLE — A man wanted in connection with a Waterville robbery was arrested in Connecticut late Thursday afternoon, police said.
Emmanual Hurtado, 25, of Waterville, was a suspect in a robbery early Saturday morning at Mobil On-the-Run on 94 Pleasant St., according to Detective Sgt. Lincoln Ryder. Hurtado allegedly forced his way into the store while the manager was opening it for the day.
Police first tried to track Hurtado down with a K-9 but couldn’t find him, Ryder said.
Hurtado allegedly gave a false name when he was stopped by police in Wethersfield, Connecticut, for driving infractions. He was taken to jail and identified as Hurtado through fingerprints, Ryder said.
Hurtado was charged by Connecticut police with criminal impersonation and resisting arrest. He will face a Class A felony robbery charge when he is extradited to Maine, police said.
