At the Tom Perez/Bernie Sanders Progressive rally Monday night, at the State Theatre in Portland, Democratic National Committee chair Tom Perez was not well received.
The organizers at the venue compensated for his handicap by playing very loud music when he was introduced at the podium. One could hardly hear the boos through the noise, but, even still, you could, even over the loudspeakers and despite the bought-and-paid-for applause of the carefully assembled choir of stooges arrayed behind him.
A solution was found to this unseemly public discontent by having large, well-muscled security guards physically intimidate those who voiced opposition to Mr. Perez and the DNC. I witnessed just this occurring in the balcony of the State Theatre.
The rally was a sham. Report it as such.
