Why do supposedly “free-thinking” colleges in this country continue to reject or let students harass speakers who espouse views that are different from their own policies?

An example is Texas Southern University, which canceled a speaker’s visit after students threatened to boycott a commencement ceremony featuring him. His name is John Cornyn, and he’s a Texas senator who supports President Trump.

Betsy DeVos, the education secretary, was recently booed at Bethune-Cookman University.

Because of student protests, the University of California at Berkeley flip-flopped on whether to allow Ann Coulter to speak.

Free speech means just that. When we decide to disallow people from speaking because we oppose their views, it’s no longer free.

Those of us who hold a view contrary to left-wing liberals’ views are supposed to put up with their speech, but when it comes to our views, we are always shut down.

Supposedly all-inclusive and compassionate left-wing ideology has shown that it is not inclusive at all if anyone opposes their idea of a correct view of the way things should be.
