BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School seventh-grade girls soccer team earned a pair of wins and a tie in recent action.

Against Lewiston, the Huskies captured a 1-0 win as Sophia Morin scored on a penalty kick. Brunswick dominated throughout, with Betty Bakkila and Kelsey Carlton doing most of the work.

In a home match with Auburn, the Huskies rolled to an 8-0 victory. Brunswick was led by a hat trick from Carlton and two goals from Morin.

The defense operated smoothly with Ella Gustafson and Jordan Cummings leading the way.

Against Tripp, the Huskies finished in a 1-1 deadlock. Carlton found the net midway through the second half to tie the score.

Hannah Lay and Helen Mahar played solid defense up the middle for the Huskies, who are now 3-0-2 this season.
