BATH — The new owners of Midcoast Pizza & More — Angela Smith and John Brigance — say they will continue the establishment’s tradition of serving free Thanksgiving meals on Nov. 23 from noon to 2 p.m. at their 737 Washington St. location in Bath.

“Community is a big part of our business,” said Smith in a press release. “It is natural that we continue with this community dinner.”

Smith had been an employee of Midcoast Pizza & More for 13 years before she and her husband, Brigance, bought the restaurant in April. As an employee, Smith volunteered each year for the Thanksgiving dinner.

“It is our pleasure to serve a variety of customers that day such as families who may not be able to afford a dinner, people who live alone or visitors who find themselves alone on the holiday,” Brigance said.
