LISBON FALLS — Paul Eugene Medlen ,79, of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 12, 1938, in Flat Rock, Illinois, to Ralph Ted Medlen and Rebecca Edith Medlen.

He attended grade school in Robinson, Flat Rock and Palestine, Illinois, and attended high school in Palestine, Illinois, graduating in 1956.

In September 1956, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in various places during his 20-year career.

In 1976, he married Ethel DeDe Bernier. They had 36 wonderful years together before she passed away in 2012.

He is survived by his four children: Gene Medlen and wife Jay of Port Barre, LA, Ray Medlen and wife Cyndi of Lisbon Falls, ME, Wayne Medlen and wife Tonya of Hemet, CA, Arty Lindley and wife Brandi, of Atoka, TN, and his three stepchildren Valorie Stevens of Lisbon Falls, ME, Robert Stevens and wife Miriam of Sabattus, ME, Mark Stevens and his wife Gretchen of Lisbon Falls, ME. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
