BIDDEFORD — TruChoice Federal Credit Union sent a team of elves to the Ross Center in Biddeford to deliver games, puzzles, snacks and a toaster oven to keep holiday cheer going all year long in the Fifty Plus Club Game Room.

The Ross Center is a program of Biddeford Recreation and provides a space for these seasoned citizens to gather for cribbage and Scrabble games, to play pool and foosball, and, of course, for Bingo.

In addition to donating items to the Ross Center, TruChoice presented Biddeford Recreation with a $600 check for children’s programs. At the grand opening of the TruChoice Biddeford branch in August, the credit union pledged to donate $100 for each $10,000 they save their new Biddeford members through loan refinancing and debt consolidation.

Since August, TruChoice has saved new Biddeford members $62,000.

“This support means the world to us,” says Carl Walsh, Director of Biddeford Recreation. “There are so many children in the Biddeford community who can’t afford to attend summer camp or after school programs. This donation will allow Biddeford Parks and Rec to get more kids involved and put them on the path to healthy and active lifestyles. We appreciate TruChoice’s continued commitment to our community.”
