BIDDEFORD — Just under a week after announcing that a new family restaurant would be built in Biddeford, the project’s developer says financing for the venture has fallen through.
In a press release, Me-Sa “John” Ginny, the chief executive officer of BachDish Inc., says he’s abandoning plans to develop a property on West Cole Road in the city for a restaurant called The Kitchen Inc. after his financing proposal was rejected by investors.
The 2,432-square-foot facility would have featured affordable, luxury cuisine, with traditional Japanese and American dishes.
Ginny owns BachDish Inc., a company that produces fine china and industrial medical lab equipment and is based in Pikwitonei, Manitoba, Canada.
The initial business model called for the restaurant to open in June 2019, but Ginny says he’s now looking at sites to build the restaurant elsewhere in the United States or Canada sometime in 2020 if he can line up new investors.
