I want to thank Joshua Gear for his well-written Maine Voices (“It’s not Sen. Collins, it’s the system,” Jan. 7).
We have so much that needs to be fixed in our country, but as long as obscene amounts of money are allowed to be given by lobbyists to our representatives, they will continue to represent big business and not the people who elected them.
We need to act to correct this. It is almost impossible to fight such big money. We can only keep trying.
