Two Mainers have been named to the Fastpitch News Preseason NCAA Division III All-America softball second team.

Elizabeth Walker, a sophomore from Falmouth who plays first base and outfield at the University of Maine-Farmington, batted .429 with an .831 slugging percentage last spring. She had more extrabase hits (eight doubles, four triples, five homers) than singles (16) in 29 games.

Bri Brochu, a sophomore infielder from Gardiner at Husson University, batted a team-high .509 .634 in 112 at-bats last spring. Brochu also stole 12 bases and drove in 16 runs. She struck out only six times in 38 games.
