THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Caroline Jacques Chasse “Carol” age 76 passed away on Wednesday morning, Jan. 31, 2018, at Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care in The Villages, Florida with her husband of 52 years, Phil and daughters, Brenda and Karen, by her side.

Carol was a native of Biddeford Maine, spent her adult life in Virginia Beach, Virgina and fully enjoyed her retirement snow birding between Virginia and Lady Lake, Florida. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Mount Saint Mary College in New Hampshire and a Masters Degree in Education from Old Dominion University in Virginia. She was an educator in the Virginia Beach Public School System or 31 years.

More than anything Carol loved spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mom and grandma to her Courtney and Justin. She was an amazing problem solver who loved puzzles, sudoku, solitaire and bingo. She was an avid sports fan (Go Patriots), loved the warm weather and simply sitting with her beloved cat, CJ, in her lap.

She is preceded by father, Antonio Jacques and mother Cecile (LaBelle) Jacques. She is survived by husband, Philip Chasse Jr; daughters, Brenda Morrill (late husband Joseph); Karen McPherson (husband Troy); grandchildren, Courtney and Justin McPherson; and sister, Jacqueline Collins (husband Billy).

The family will be hosting a private memorial and celebration of life in Florida.
