BIDDEFORD — Stella A. Curit, 85, of Biddeford and formerly of Saco, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford.

She was born Sept. 8, 1932 in Biddeford, a daughter of Joseph and Eva (Wright) Guillette and was educated locally, graduating from St. Andre’s High School with the Class of 1949.

She had been employed at Lyn Flex Industries as a shoe rander from 1982 to 1994, retiring in 1994.

Stella was a member of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish in Saco where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed reading and knitting. Stella was an avid Boston sports fan and loved her Biddeford Tigers.

Preceding her in death were her sisters, Blanche Vaillancourt, Cecile Picard, Laurette Lemieux, Pauline Morin and Lorraine Guillette, who died as an infant and also her half-brothers, George, Conrad and Amedee Guillette.

Surviving are three daughters Linda Littlefield and her husband Christopher of Cumberland, Diana Pinard and her husband Albert of Biddeford, and Cynthia Berube and her spouse Annette Beaulieu of Biddeford; two sons Keith Curit and Brian Curit and his wife Karen, all of Biddeford; five grandchildren Christopher and Kathleen Pinard, Rebecca Littlefield and Maria and Joseph Curit; and three great-grandchildren Kierra, Trista and Bryce Berube.

Visiting Hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.

Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.
