BRUNSWICK — Taylor Choate scored 14 points, Kate Kerrigan and Annie Maher each had 10, and Bowdoin College rolled into the second round of the NCAA Division III women’s basketball tournament with a 94-32 victory over Husson on Friday night.
The Polar Bears (25-2) bounced back in convincing fashion after a 60-48 loss to Tufts in the NESCAC semifinals last weekend. Bowdoin scored 20 unanswered points during a 51/2-minute stretch of the first quarter against the Eagles (19-10) and led 45-14 at halftime. The Polar Bears will host host FDU-Florham (22-6) in the second round Saturday night
Bowdoin got points from 14 players and shot 51 percent from the field.
Kenzie Worcester led Husson with 13 points.
