SACO — Rachel D. Beauregard, 82, of Saco, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at The Cedars in Portland.

She was born in Biddeford on Feb. 11, 1936, a daughter of Leo and Alice Sabourin. She graduated from St. Anne’s High School in Biddeford.

After high school, Rachel was employed as a lab technician for Maine Medical Center where she met her future husband Marc Beauregard. She also worked as a supervisor in the Chemistry Department for Mercy Hospital for several years.

On Feb. 19, 1972, she married Marc. The family remembers the fun they had together boating on Sebago Lake, Mouse Head Lake and the Thousand Islands in upstate New York to their unforgettable boat trip from Vermont to Montreal. Snow skiiing and water sports were also many enjoyable family activities. Rachel was an accomplished athlete, she played basketball, was Southern Maine bowling champion and club golf champion while living overseas in Germany and Egypt. Another of her favorite pastimes was riding Arabian horses.

Rachel’s family was her greatest love. With her passing, we remind ourselves that her life is to be celebrated. Although we will miss her everyday, she will remain in our hearts. Through her teachings in life, we were able to create wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.

She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Marc Beaugregard, on Feb. 7, 2017.

She is survived by two sons, Roger R. LeBlanc and his fiance Jayne Heatly of Saco and Robert R. LeBlanc and his wife Kimberley of Saco; and three grandchildren, Samuel LeBlanc, Katherine LeBlanc and Laura LeBlanc. She also is survived by two sisters, Lucille Sabourin and Lorraine Saboruin; and nieces and nephews. 

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, with a Funeral Service at 4 p.m. at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
