WINDHAM — The Massabesic girls lacrosse team improved to 8-0 on the season with a 10-3 win over host Windham on Thursday.
Massabesic goalie Lydia Wasina would stop 12 shots in the cage to help the Mustangs stay undefeated.
Hallie Benton scored four goals and Maddie Drain finished with a hat trick to lead the Massabesic offense.
Massabesic would also get goals from Morgan Pike, Logan Champlin and Camryn Champlin.
Biddeford 16, Bonny Eagle 9
Paige Laverriere reached a historic milestone for the second straight day as Biddeford’s all-time goals leader scored twice on Thursday and joined the exclusive 100-goal club in the process.
Laverriere, who now has 101 goals on her resume, helped the Tigers improve to 7-2 on the season.
Peyton McKeown led the Tigers with five goals and one assist. Abby Allen added four goals and one assist, and both Grace Boisvert and Megan Mourmouras added two goals in the win.
Biddeford goalie Ella McKenzie stopped 10 shots in the cage.
Jenna Litif led Bonny Eagle with four goals. Lexi Theberge added three goals and goalie Sam Dery made nine saves.
BASEBALL
Marshwood 3, Noble 1
Max Horton brought home the winning run with an RBI single in the sixth inning for visiting Marshwood.
Horton finished with three hits and Jay Lyman added an RBI single for the Hawks (7-4).
Noble’s Jake Lacroix struck out seven and didn’t walk a batter in a complete-game effort.
Scarborough 2, Thornton Academy 0
Luke Chessie gave up just five hits and struck out seven in six innings of work, but the TA standout would be upstaged by Scarborough’s Nick Thompson, who fired a three-hitter with eight strikeouts on Thursday.
Nolan Lamontagne had an RBI double for the Red Storm, who improved to 6-5.
BOYS TENNIS
Kennebunk/Wells 5, Windham 0
Declan Archer cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at first singles as Kennebunk/Wells rolled to the win on Thursday.
Kennebunk/Wells would also get singles wins from Dan Behrans and Mason Burke.
Keegan Donaher and Logan Strauss won at first doubles for the Rams, who also got a win from Tom Zub and Jack Gurski at second doubles.
