SACO — The Thornton Academy girls lacrosse team raced out to a 6-goal lead at halftime and would cruise to a 12-3 win over Lewiston on Friday.
Makenzie Basile had four goals and two assist to lead the Trojans, who also got four goals from Alanna Pettaway. Cat Henaire added three goals and Rachel Ouellette finished with two scores.
Dana Sirois stopped four shots in the cage for TA.
Massabesic 12, Cape Elizabeth 10
The Mustangs would outscore Cape Elizabeth 6-4 in the second half to improve to 8-0 on the season.
Madi Drain had five goals and Skylar Renaud chipped in four scores to lead Massabesic.
Morgan Pike scored twice and dished out four assists for the Mustangs.
Softball
Wells 5, Cape Elizabeth 3
Sam Bogue went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Wells to the win on Friday.
Bogue had a two-run single in the first and added an RBI single in the third.
Kim Yurga added an RBI single in the sixth for the Warriors, who also got a double from Karissa Kenyon.
Noble 21, Biddeford 2 (5 innings)
The Knights would get a three-run home run from Raegan Kelly, who also struck out seven and allowed just four hits in the circle.
Mackenzie Aleva had four hits for Noble, which got three hits apiece from Lauren Sanger and Tori Exel.
Brook Davis had an RBI double for the Tigers.
Baseball
York 8, Old Orchard Beach 0
Jake Sullivan tossed six shutout innings as the visiting Wildcats picked up the win at The Ballpark in OOB.
Sullivan had seven strikeouts and scattered nine hits for York, which got four RBIs from Riley Linn.
Matt Doody, Mark Johnston and Ryun Hogan each had two hits for OOB.
