Re: “LePage withholds details on his multiday trade, National Guard trip to Montenegro” (July 16):
How much did Gov. LePage’s trip to Montenegro cost? We are all entitled to time off, no doubt, but a vacation on the taxpayers’ dime?
Now, I get it, he is looking for an exit strategy once his term is done. Perhaps U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro for President Trump? Certainly it makes sense to visit the country for an interview. Why not do it all-expenses-paid, courtesy of his constituents? (See: Scott Pruitt.)
Great timing – of course, he only has to fix the latest diplomatic snafu courtesy of our president. Skip the lobster – bring the Moxie!
I won’t hold my breath waiting for the cost-benefit analysis of a trip to the sunny Mediterranean for the governor and his staff.
