It’s been an honor to have state Sen. Cathy Breen, D-Falmouth, in the state Legislature. I appreciate the breadth of Sen. Breen’s interests, from supporting small businesses through the Small Business Ombudsman program, to streamlining credentialing for veterans with critical workforce skills.

I worked with Sen. Breen on several early childhood safety and education bills in which she fought timelessly to promote early childhood and preschool retention and to maintain effective background checks in child care to ensure our youngest learners are safe, a basic measure of a quality program.

Breen’s environmental leadership record is exemplary. She served on the Land Conservation Task Force, and fought against off-shore drilling on Maine’s coast.

With Sen. Breen’s leadership, the Opioid Task Force was created to find solutions to fight addiction and save lives. Cathy Breen is a proven leader and passionate advocate for District 25.
