LYMAN — Jamie D. Richard, 57, of Lyman, passed away in the comfort of his home on Sept. 1, 2018 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Jamie was born in Biddeford, Maine on Dec. 15, 1960 to Norman and Claire (Sevigny) Richard. He was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated from Biddeford High Class of 1979. He furthered his education at Husson College.

On Sept. 24, 1988 he married Maryann Sanfacon in Berwick, Maine.

Jamie worked for 20 years as a marine pipe fitter at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and seven years with the United States Postal Service as a mail handler supervisor. He traveled for work with the shipyard, which included visits to Scotland, England, Georgia and South Carolina.

Jamie enjoyed spending time at his family camp on Bunganut Lake. He loved fishing, boating, watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

He is survived by his wife, Maryann; two children, Kayla Korch and her husband, Michael, of Charlton, Massachusetts, and Kyle Richard, of Lyman; one brother, Ronald Richard of Lyman; and one grandchild, Natalie Korch.

Calling hours will be held Saturday Sept. 8 from 9 to 11 a.m. and a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel.
