SAD 6 nominations due
Nomination papers are available at Buxton Town Hall, 185 Portland Road, for two selectmen seats, two Planning Board seats, and three Budget Committee members.
All are for three-year terms and nominations are due in the office of Town Clerk John Myers by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12.
Expiring selectmen terms are those of Mark Blier and Clifford Emery, chairman of the board. Planning Board seats expiring are now held by Craig Lefebvre and Jeremiah Ross; and Budget Committee seats expiring are those of Sheridan Bennett, Arthur Payeur and Richard Streeter.
SAD 6 nomination papers for one at-large, three-year term with a required Buxton residency are due to be filed with the Registrar of Voters by 2 p.m., Thursday, March 14, and must be delivered to the SAD 6 Central Office by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 22. The School Board papers have been available since Feb. 7.
The expiring term is that of Nathan Carlow.
The municipal election is June 11, and the annual town meeting is set for Saturday, June 15.
Blood drive
The American Red Cross is sponsoring an opportunity to donate blood 1-6 p.m. on Monday, March 18, at Buxton Town Hall, 185 Portland Road.
