Leslie 86, died peacefully at home in Burnham with his loving family by his side on March 282019. 

Leslie was born on November 25, 1932 in BucksportMaine, the son of the late Rev. Leslie and Beatrice Craig.   

He graduated from Freeport High School.  Soon after he married his high school sweetheart Marjorie Basinet in 1953. 

Les proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He worked at Bath Iron Works for 38 years, retiring in 1995 as an Outside Machinist (D09).   

Les was a life member of the Freeport Fire Dept., Coast Guard Flotilla #202 Harraseket and the past President of the Burr Cemetery Association 

His hobbies were building and flying model airplanes, golf, watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.   

His favorite pastimes include spending time with the Liars club of Tufton Street in Brunswick and riding his 2-seated ATV through the Burnham woods looking for wildlife. 

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra and her husband Gerald Giggey of Burnham, Maine, two Grandsons, Shaun Giggey of Lisbon Falls, Maine and Marc Giggey and his wife, Shannon of Bath, Maine, eight Great Grandchildren, Kristopher, Tyler, Bryanna, Rachel, Marc Jr., Jeramy, Levi, and Alyssa.  Two sisters, Lois Farnsworth of Wayland Mass, and Jean and her husband, Kenneth Wilson of Brunswick, Maine.  Two sister-in-laws, Faye and husband, Steven Day of Freeport, Maine and Caroline and husband Charles Vining of Yarmouth, Maine, and several nieces and nephews, and cousins.   

Les was predeceased by his late wife Marjorie, his son Paul, and his parents. 

Friends and family can visit from 5:00PM to 7:00PM Tuesday April 2 at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street in Brunswick.  Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday April 3, at the funeral home with the Rev. Gordon Cook officiating.  Interment will be at Burr Cemetery in Freeport.
