BRUNSWICK – Nicola Ann Gilliam, 71, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2019 at her residence. Her husband, Burton A. Gilliam, was by her side continuously as she battled ALS.

She was born on May 30, 1947 in Brunswick, the daughter of Robert M. and Muriel (Rollins) White.

Nikki attended Brunswick High School where she met her future husband, Burton. They married in 1967 and were happily married for 51 years. She enjoyed sewing; cross-stitch, and making baskets. She loved music, reading, and decorating for the holidays. She was a big New England Patriots fan and preferred watching the game alone so she could yell and scream at the television.

Nicola was predeceased by her son, Craig Gilliam. She is survived by her husband, Burton A. Gilliam of Brunswick; daughter, Kimberly D. Orr and husband, Steven; and grandson, Logan Orr, all of Westbrook.

Funeral services will be held, 1 p.m., Saturday April 20, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick.
